AIRBUS ended their league campaign on a winning note as they ended Rhyl's five-match winning streak at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.

In a somewhat mundane affair, the Wingmakers were generally in control, although it took a good save from Dave Roberts to keep out a shot from Aaron Pomeyie.

After the break, Nathan Quirk forced a fine save from Lilywhites' keeper Rory Crowther and Steve Tomassen missed a good chance at the far post before Airbus scored the game's only goal. Curtis Strong crossed from the left, Abou Sanogo headed back across the box and Danny Taylor volleyed home from 12 yards out.

Mark Connolly went close for Rhyl on the hour after spotting keeper Roberts off his line, but the shot from 35 yards was tipped over the bar, while Airbus had the ball in the net again in stoppage time but the effort was flagged offside.

Youngsters Harvey Ellis, Oli Lanceley, Blake Robinson and Joe Davies all featured for Airbus, while another clean sheet was a positive to take into the NEWFA Cup semi-final and next season.
