MIDFIELDER Glenn Rule believes that Airbus can round-off a winning pre-season by beating local rivals Gap Connah's Quay to lift the Macron Flintshire Cup on Saturday (2.30pm).
"It's a good test for us and we want to keep winning," Rule told the Flintshire Chronicle.
"We've had a good pre-season and we want to build on that.
"The gaffer will probably be looking at Saturday with a view to who will start against Port Talbot in the first league game so those who play will want to impress and it'll be all guns blazing,
"They strengthened last season to stay up and they've strenghtened again with some really experience players like George Horan, Kevin McIntyre and Jamie Rainford, who always scores goals wherever he goes.
"They came here and beat us last year and that pretty much ended our title hopes, so we'll be going out to win like we do every game, that's our mentality."
Director of football Andy Preece is also relishing the clash.
"We've heard a few things coming out of their place that they fancy themselves a bit this year and that they didn't rate us that much last season, so it will be interesting," he said.
"They've signed a lot of new faces and some very good players and I think they probably feel that they can finish second.
"They're the only people who know how much they've spent, but good luck to them. It's good for the league that teams are getting stronger and it will be good to have some competition."
