Airbus UK Broughton 6-0 Castell Alun Colts

Airbus welcomed their visitors hoping to gain revenge for a 2-1 defeat earlier in the campaign.  The early exchanges were pretty even, both sides forcing corners but failing to work the keepers.  The visitors were reduced to 10 men on 18 minutes and Airbus slowly took control.  Jordan Ellis went close sending a header just wide in the 23rd minute.  Castell Alun responded and would have taken the lead only for a smart double save by Josh Atkin on 26 minutes.  Airbus finally broke the deadlock on 37minutes when following good work by Josh Roberts and Josh Parry the ball reached Jordan O’Brien to fire home.  The lead was doubled within five minutes, Dan Calvert’s strong challenge squirting the ball to Josh Parry, who pressed forward and danced round the keeper before stroking home.

Second half was only five minutes old when Josh Roberts finished another slick move rounding the keeper to make it 3 – 0.  The visitors rallied but once again were thwarted by Josh Atkin determined to keep a clean sheet.  This proved to be their last venture forward as Airbus pressure mounted.  Jordan Ellis grabbed the goal, his hard working performance deserved, on 68 minutes converting a Dan Lloyd cross from close range.  Jordan O’Brien added a fifth within a minute and Dan Lloyd completed the scoring in the 78th minute with an angled drive after good play between Shaun McCartney and twinkled-toed Josh Parry.
