High flying Airbus welcomed close rivals Bala Town, both teams having lost only once so far this season.  As expected the game was keenly contested both sides playing entertaining football.  Mark Cadwallader, Joe Jones and Connor Boyle all went close for the Wingmen, whilst Bala also went close several times being particularly unlucky when Jamie Meacock spectacularly cleared off the home line.  Half time arrived scoreless.

The second half opened with Airbus on the offensive full backs Ben Evans and Ben Williams raiding down the flanks.  Bala came close on 53 minutes striking the post.  The deadlock was broken on 62 minutes when following a free kick the visitors defence could not clear and Lewis Burgess smashed home from close range.  Airbus poured forward to try and increase their advantage Paul McManus seeing two good efforts saved as Bala refused to yield and came back putting the defence under pressure.  The game was finally settled in injury time when Paul McManus broke from the edge of his own box and raced the length of the pitch before producing the perfect cross for Jordan O’Brien to slot home.
