Airbus started very brightly with Paul McManus at the centre of the action.  It was therefore fitting when Paul opened the scoring on 19 minutes firing home from an acute angle.  Airbus continued to play impressive football and Chris Simmons sent a header over the bar after 23 minutes.  The pressure finally told and Dan Lloyd did well to get onto a Mark Atkinson cross and head home powerfully.  Corwen responded and reduced the deficit on 30 minutes with a well taken goal.  This signalled a series of home attacks and a two goal lead was restored on 36 minutes when Josh Parry fed Paul McManus who produced another clinical finish.

Corwen had the better of the early exchanges in the second half, the game drifting into a period of stalemate.  Dan Cooper made a smart save on 70 minutes and this, coupled with some changes, seemed to breathe life back into Airbus, who began to dominate.  Intricate passing found Andy Moran on the edge of the box and he danced past a couple of bemused defenders before firing home on 85 minutes.  Andy found himself on the end of another good move in the 88th minute, this time engineering an opening for the impressive Josh Griffiths who made no mistake from 10 yards.
